A word from the Chaplain

A word from the Chaplain:

I pray that each of you had a blessed Easter!!  For this weeks devotion I would like to look back on the Biblical events of this past weekend . These events represent two of the greatest events our world has ever, or will ever know.

Good Friday: God’s Son, the Lord Jesus, died a brutal death on the cross of Calvary to pay the price for our sins and to redeem us. This opened the way for us to have fellowship with our Heavenly Father. While on the cross Jesus spoke these Words, “Father, forgive them….” and “It is finished”. He finished the work He came to do!! Redemption’s work was done!! The Gift of God was bought and paid for. It is now available to all who Believe and put their Faith in Him.

Easter Sunday: The Resurrection. The validation of all Christ proclaimed. The Hope we all can have. Jesus beat death! Prior to these events Jesus had declared to His disciples, “I am the Resurrection”. He also declared, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father but by Me!”

It is one thing to say it, it is something else to back it up.

Fact: Jesus is Risen!! His tomb is empty. He has ascended to Heaven and sits at the Right Hand of God the Father. From there He will one day return to receive all who believe in Him unto Himself.

Remember my friends, Jesus always backs up His promises. He always has, He always will!!!

The birth of Christ happened. The Crucifixion happened. The Resurrection of Christ happened. Done, Done, Done!!!  One Fact remains to be done: The return of Christ. And those of us who have placed our Faith in Jesus Christ eagerly await His Return. And one day my friends, that will be done as well.

You can count on it!! Easter proves it!!!

Be Blessed my friends and Rejoice in all that Christ Jesus has done for us.
